Hanging Baskets - a great way to add color to your porches, patios, decks and pergolas!

Wow!  The rainy days and cloudy skies this past week in Clovis have been so rewarding, but now it's time to break out the color in our gardens and outdoor spaces.  We have a great selection of beautiful, healthy, and colorful hanging baskets.  Just the touch you need to dress up your outside areas... a beautiful basket crammed with color and ready to sway above your head in a happy-go-lucky way.

Hanging baskets will continue bringing pops of color all summer with just a little care and maintenance.  Be sure to water regularly.  Even though we have had a lot of rain this May, you need to check your hanging baskets daily.  Because they are hanging, they can dry out more quickly and need a regular supply of water and nutrients.  We recommend that you water daily and fertilize on a weekly basis to keep your baskets full and flowing all summer.

Early morning is the best time of day to water so plants can take water into their tissues before the day heats up.  Since our area can become hot, dry, and windy, it's good idea to check your baskets in the afternoon as well.  Baskets like to stay evenly moist so if they do get to dry, set them in a large pan of water to refresh the plants and let them soak up the water they need.  Some flowers like petunias, for example, may need a little dead-heading throughout the season.
